Predicate Adjective

One of the simplest kind of proverbs that you can make is a TWO-WORD proverb with a subject and a predicate adjective.

You can put the predicate adjective in second position:

Amor caecus.

Antiqua optima.

Concordia insuperabilis.

Fortuna caeca.

Fortuna rotunda.

Futurum invisibile.

Mars dubius.

Mediocria firma.

Medium certum.

Paupertas ingeniosa.

Praemonitus praemunitus.

Rarum carum.

Roma aeterna.

You can also put the predicate adjective in first position:

Beati misericordes.

Beati mites.

Beati pacifici.

Dulce lumen.

Fidelis Deus.

Fortissima virtus.

Grata brevissima.

Grata brevitas.

Mendaces Cretenses.

Mutabilis casus.

Vaga fortuna.

Varia vita.

Vitrea fortuna.

The important thing to remember with these proverbs is that there is an implied linking verb, so that the two words in the sentence are playing different grammatical roles: subject and predicate.
